The 2006 Vintage Armstrong Ranch Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon from St. Clement Vineyards in Napa, CA pours out an inky purple in color. Very fragrant on the nose with aromas of blackberry, anise and hints of tobacco. Big and bold in the mouth. Drinking well now but still has a lot of life left for a good ten to fifteen years plus in the cellar. Flavors of ripe cherry, cranberry, some dirt and toasted oak. Definitely a full bodied wine with good complexity and deveoped tanins.
A great wine for a special night.
