Personal Information
Name: Art
About Me: I was clearly a "beer guy" until one Homecoming at the University of Michigan, an alum from my fraternity brought a "keg" of wine. He owns the Tabor Hill winery in Michigan and thus began my interest in wine (well my graduation from MD 20/20 to real wine)

Hey I have fun dropping surprises in suburbia..I purposefully bring off the beaten path, lower cost wines to neighborhood parties and watch the reaction of people; avoidance, curiosity, enjoyment then the search to find out who brought this wine and how much it costs.

Wine Photos, Video, web conntent and Wine fine art prints/art from New Zealand.

Hi All from the New Zealand's top Pinot area,

do you know someone that can help me or that I can help?

I am looking to network within the international wine industry.
70 - 80 % of my work is in the NZ wine industry and the rest is tourism.

I don't just take photos of wine and vine but spend the time to do the research so as to make images with knowledge and some creative license to get my clients the best best result.

I not only do Still but have a video production team around me that have worked on some of the biggest movie such as Load of the Rings and Star Wars.

I want to know what you do so we can benefit off each others skill base knowledge.

Cheers,

Allan

It's great to meet you! Thank you for the wine tips! I do love a good Chardonnay, and if you're looking for a bargain, you should try Fat Bastard Chardonnay. Yellow Tail is actually my go-to for good, inexpensive wine. They have an awesome Shiraz-Grenache!

Salut!

I sure am. I work at Zed451 in Downers Grove. You should come check out our progressive wine list. It's pretty intense!

Prairie and Vine is a wine shop in Villa Park. They primarily have Illinois wines and a few other wines. Right now it is a really tiny place to go do tastings etc. Soon they are expanding and will have more of an intimate wine bar set up where you can purchase a bottle of wine to drink with friends. My husband and I go there a lot. Sadly, it is normally all women customers. I think most men in our town drink beer. :) Is there a Brunello you recommend? I tried a great one at the DOC wine bar in Lombard. I tried to find it at a wine store but they didn't have it. The guy suggested another but it was no good.

Hi Art,
I haven't checked in here in a while since I've just recently moved. We can still ship to Illinois, but it doesn't seem we can conduct wine tastings there. If you're interested in trying anything, let me know what you like and I'll suggest something for you to testing out!

Hi Art,
Gosh, I do the same thing. I recently brought a bottle labeled "Sacre Bleu" to a gathering, everyone tried it because of the name. I also bought a bottle of "Middle Sister" in honor of my mom being a middle sister. Turns out the wine was called "a rebel red", and wasn't half bad for about $12 bucks. Got it at Target!

I SOOOOO miss Mason Sabika....nothing quite like it around here. IF ever in Sheboygan, visit Tratoria Stefano. He studied under the originator of La Sorella (Francesca's) in Chicago and escaped to the north to start his own. He owns the town! I enjoy Stefano's a lot more than the cookie-cutter versions of Francesca's. Never made it to the restaurant you were asking about. Tell me more....

You were asking about wine bars.....are you familiar with Cedarburg, WI - just north of downtown Milwaukee - 20 minutes. Ernie's and the August Weber House. As far as Milwaukee goes, I'd have to research that further. Anything of the Bartalotta's restaurants. My favorite, Lake Park Bistro - French wine flights, unbelievable food. I just moved from the Naperville area a year ago. What's your favorite in that area? I'm down there quite often with friends. Thanks!
