My recent favorites were Château Duhart-Milon, Château Giscours and a Beaux Frères Pinot Noir. This week I will be trying a 2001 Penfolds Shiraz St. Henri. Looking forward to it.
I'm 43, divorced without children and live in Reno. I work a lot on the web and tend to get embroiled in my work then look at the clock and find it is 10PM. How time flies!
I began my work life in sales, was a Realtor for a while then ended up in culinary school. I worked as a chef at PGA National Resort & Spa (roundsman), Donald Trump's The Mar-a-Lago Club (roundsman promoted to restaurant chef), Willoughby Golf Club (executive chef) and then went on to open Mizner Country Club as the executive chef for that Toll Bros. property. After that I started to get into working on the net in many varied different things.
In a way creating MustLoveWine.com is a return to incorporating work with something I love to do.
In no particular order my favorite vineyards are Caymus, Nickel & Nickel, ZD, Stag's Leap, Orin Swift, Three Saints and I have started to dabble into French wines and particularly liked the wine I tried from Chateau Lascombes and Chateau Giscours but as far as French, Italian or any wines from outside the US I am a novice at best.
I do like the Redskins. I have had an opportunity to me a couple of their players, and coaches, so I am definately pulling for them to do well, at least until they come to Seattle in Nov.
Yeah Mark, My Seahawks get the crap beat out of them by the World Champs, got so frustrated watching the game I went to my friend Mark McNeilly's (Mark Ryan Winery) and tasted some very good Bordeaux Blends that he has just released....
Hi Mark, I am looking for someone to teach me about the wine culture. I need a better understanding due to the nature of my job. Any suggestions? Thanks!
