I love this web site.  Very cool, and clever idea.  I was looking at the group for Bordeaux (drinking makes me reflective, and also a bad speller) and I was struck by the intro which stated " Bordeaux is the largest wine-producing region in the whole world, and it would only follow that they produce the best wines available in the market today "   Is that actually true?   Given,I love Bordeaux, I love my Lynch Bages,   Lacombs is not bad either along with Clerc Milon ... Arguably some very good wines come out ouf Bordeaux, but that said, I find it hard to believe that they are the largest producing region in the world.   Geographically, Bordeaux is not that big after all.   Anyone have any hard facts on the actual production of wine compared to say Napa or Sonoma?

I won't argue with the quality of the wine, as it is a subjective thing, and honestly,  I think it really comes down to style more than anything else and what you like.   I am just as happy drinking a basic Sonoma Zin as I am a Napa Cab or Bordeax blend, so long as the wine, food and company is good!
