I am a self-taught wine lover, reading and studying and tasting as often as I can. A few years back I attended with friends the Epcot Food & Wine Festival and since then it has become a mild obsession. I have taken just about all the online courses offered by Wine Spectator, and have a growing library of wine books.
My husband is diabetic so he does not join in my obsession, but has his own with his MAC computer obsession. He is a programmer/web designer by trade. He is the one who named me "CorkDork"...
Three kids keep me running, 2 girls 18 & 15, one boy 10. Work part time to support my wine obsession, and to pay for our annual trip to Epcot's Wine festival. If you've never been, GO! It's a blast.
I was formerly a cake baker for a couple of local diners, been making and decorating cakes for about 15 years until a chronic illness made it too difficult.
